Dr. Roger Sanger
Dr. Roger Sanger, DOCS Education's lead instructor for Pediatric Sedation Dentistry, is a graduate of the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry. He completed a residency in pediatric dentistry as well as a fellowship in rehabilitation. He received his Master's in Health Care from USC Medical Center and Hospitals prior to entering private practice. Dr. Sanger has served as an attending faculty member at USC Children's Hospital and the University of Colorado Medical Center.
Dr. Sanger's role at DOCS Education
As the lead instructor on pediatric sedation dentistry for DOCS Education, Dr. Sanger continually imparts his knowledge about the subject to dentists across the nation. He utilizes the safest drugs and latest technology,and stresses that safety is the most important aspect in pediatric sedation dentistry.
Professional accomplishments and business ventures
Dr. Sanger founded a multi-doctor, multi-office children's dental group, which serves six counties on the central coast of California. The group was a leader in establishing two children's dental surgicenters, which treat over 5,000 cases of pediatric oral sedation every year.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Sanger has personally completed more than 10,000 pediatric cases.
Recently, Dr. Sanger was named Executive Director of the MCNA Idaho Dental Medicaid Insurance Company which will be based in Boise. MCNA won the Idaho contract for the dental medicaid program (about 200,000 children) in Idaho starting Sept 1, 2016. MCNA is a Florida HQ-based dentist-owned company with an office in Texas.
Dr. Sanger has authored two clinical textbooks, numerous scientific articles, and a textbook on pediatric dental practice management. With fine attention to detail and a passion for writing, he has also been a contributing editor for Dentistry Today.
