C. F. Ward, MD, has four decades of experience as an anesthesiologist and also served as a flight surgeon for the U.S. Navy.

After graduating from the University of Viriginia Medical School in 1969, Dr. Ward went on to get aviation medical training from the Naval Aerospace Medical Institute. Later, he taught for several years at the University of California, San Diego in the Department of Anesthesiology.

He is currently the Chair of Physicians' Well Being at Anesthesia Service Medical Group, Inc.

Dr. Ward's role at DOCS Education

Dr. Ward brings his extensive medical background to his teaching in some of DOCS Education's emergency training courses. He teaches dentists to recognize the signs of an airway emergency and helps them prepare to respond confidently within the environment of their own dental office.

Dr. Ward's work has been published in many textbooks, including Monitoring in Anesthesia and Anesthesia and Uncommon Disease (2nd and 3rd editions). He's also written a large number of scientific papers.
