Nicholas Borrello, DDS, practices at Stony Hill Dental Care in Bethel, CT. A graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, Dr. Borrello is a DOCS Education Fellow and holds the position of Master of the Academy of General Dentistry. The doctor has been a member of DOCS Education since 2002. How did you choose dentistry? I have a fine arts background, and I knew that I would be able to use my skills more in dentistry as opposed to other medical professions. What do you like most/least about dentistry? Learning new dentistry techniques is something I truly enjoy. On the other side, I donâ€™t like to be rushed when Iâ€™m with a patient. What are the biggest challenges facing dentistry today? The cost for young dentists to graduate is often very high these days. It can be extremely difficult on them financially. Who is/was your mentor in the dental world? Dr. L.D. Pankey from The Pankey Institute, the first advanced dental education organization of its kind.
